GWFCC Business Membership is open to Fashion-owned and Fashion-friendly small businesses, educators, students, individuals, sole-proprietorship, partnerships, and any other legally constituted for-profit business organization engaged in the provision of a service or product (whether paid or unpaid) directly to the fashion industry marketplace. Benefits include:
- Vote for members’ representative on Board of Directors.
- Opportunity to participate in Fashion Incubator Program
- Free admissions to three small business building seminars a year
- Technical assistance and information for entrepreneurs wanting to start a business or seeking help in growing their business through seminars, contacts, one-on-one sessions and referrals. Fashion Designers will receive technical support for individual designer collection showing twice a year Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer and assistance with Media/Press coverage of the collection showing
- Access information to corporate and government contacts, financial resources and representation with partnering organizations throughout Greater Washington, DC area.
- Two email marketing promotions.
- Included in Fashion Directory of fashion resources to include fabric, trim, findings, supplies, modeling agencies, photographers, stylists, pattern services, sewing supplies, contractors/manufactures, PR agents, store display fixtures, showroom supplies etc.
- Mentoring, Networking, Internship and Volunteer Opportunities with industry professionals.
- Opportunity to be included in the GWFCC Outreach “Spotlight” Event Series to include: event planning services, venue selection, marketing, behind the scenes management, production promotion, email blast.
- Ability to advertise your products and services through a variety of special events (calendar of events), trade shows, new boutique openings and programs, workshops, web page, and e-newsletter.
Membership Fees
Annual Business Membership: $150. Membership fees will not be prorated. The membership benefits are base solely on full payment of yearly dues.
